Coconut
Husk Chips

coconut husk chips

Coconut husk chips are used widely to line floors of greenhouses and in between plant beds to control weeds, grow orchids, manufacture mulch (a mixture of different coir products to control the porosity of the mixture), design grow bag blends, and to compost potting soils. Due to the coarse nature to husk chips, they can be easily added to coconut coir to allow for additional drainage and act as a great substitute for perlite. Husk chips are also used as reptile bedding.
