When wet, they swell up and their volume increases by about 8-9 times. For example, one briquette provides approximately 9 liters (2.4 gallons) of pure coco fiber pith/ coco peat.

Depending on which product you are using, place 1 briquette, block, or disk in a  3-18 gallon (11-70 Liter) container.

Coconut coir is ideal to mix with soil or can be used on its own as a growing medium. This depends on the type of plant you might be growing.

Add approximately 1 gallon (3.8 Liters) of water per 1.4 lbs (650 grams) of product.

Wait 10-15 minutes for the coir to expand.

Break the coir briquette, block, disk by hand so it is easy to use.
